Tondela's coach Gonçalo Feio wants the team to have a 'cool head and warm heart' in the trip to Arouca, to fight for survival in the I Liga. In a press conference on Friday, Gonçalo Feio said that the team needs to have a 'cool head and warm heart' in the trip to Arouca, to fight for survival in the I Liga, in the 34th and final round. Gonçalo Feio assumed that he will have to be 'more of a Tondela day' like in the end of the other four championships, where the survival in the I Liga was decided in the last round. 'We need to focus on the game plan and our tasks. Preparing the game is a process, but then there are things that this team has demonstrated and that are not a process', he said. Gonçalo Feio considered that the team needs to be 'constant' in aspects such as 'attitude, concentration, emotion management to do the right things at the right time, think the game, accelerate and suffer when necessary'. 'This team has already demonstrated that it can do it, because in a difficult moment when maybe not many people believed, it refused to fall. The players refused to fall and tomorrow [Saturday] we need to have another day like this: cool head and warm heart is a good analogy for what will be needed', he emphasized. The coach added that, in the last game, the players were 'all unaware of the results of the rivals' and this Saturday, 'it will be exactly the same', with focus on doing 'the work that competes and well' done at Arouca's home. 'In a difficult field, against a team that plays very good football and that is already a difficult mission for us to be concerned with other things completely unrelated to us', he said. In the last round, Tondela needs to win to fight for survival in the I Liga, but also depends on the result of other teams such as Casa Pia and Estrela da Amadora (one point, 29) and Nacional (three points, 31), in games that take place at the same time. Tondela, in 17th and penultimate place, in the relegation zone, with 28 points, will go to Arouca, in 10th place, with 39, on Saturday, at 18:00, in the 34th round, with refereeing by António Nobre, from Leiria.
