Tondela confirmed on Tuesday that coach Luís Pinto will remain at the helm of the club for the next season in the League. Luís Pinto, who is 35 years old, led Tondela to the title of II Liga in his first year in professional championships. The main coach of Tondela spoke on the sidelines of the reception ceremony of the Municipality of Tondela, district of Viseu, to the club that was crowned champion of II Liga on Friday, after a 2-0 home win over União de Leiria. Tondela's president, Gilberto Coimbra, reaffirmed that Luís Pinto is the right coach to compete in the I Liga. Luís Pinto signed a contract with Tondela in May 2024 for one season, with an option for another. Tondela finished the season with 64 points and the II Liga championship trophy, returning to the I Liga after three years. Moving on to the next season, Tondela hopes to maintain good form and surprise in the League. But Luís Pinto knows the challenge will be difficult. So, the coach is working hard to prepare the team for the next season. Tondela has already started planning the pre-season and is looking for reinforcements for the team. The club is excited to return to the first division and is ready to face the challenges ahead.
